What Dreams May Come

My Happy Place

Sometimes it takes an image like this to kick you in your ass photographically and help you realize why you fell in love with photography in the first place. This in my opinion is the apex of what photography should be, it's the type of photo that can't be set up or manufactured. It contains beauty and tragedy in its truest form. You could spend months taking photos of skinny young models and when all is said and done they wouldn't have 1/100th of the soul this image has. I just felt the need to share this image if you haven't seen it... and if you haven't seen this before make sure you read the story in the description.

On a side note, as a little 'thank you' to all my watchers I wanted to pick someone randomly to give a three month subscription to. All you have to do is post a comment on this journal and you're in the running... I'll pick someone randomly probably by tomorrow some time and update this journal with who it is. :D
