Remember that part of Wizard of Oz where the whole movie has been in black and white; then after the house if picked up by the tornado and taken into Oz Dorothy opens up the door and everything is bright and colorful. That scene always had a profound impact on me for some reason. Because I can't do it in a video; taking a photo to try and capture the same feeling is as close as I can get. Hope you enjoy!
I love a good HDR image, but sometimes they can be so over done. This one is one of those.
The sky just looks way too dark for the beautiful sunlight streaming in from the right. And while the colors are over saturated, they do have a gorgeous tone and glow. I personally would just lessen that glow just a tad.
The image itself is a gorgeous one. The trees are framing it beautifully. And I do love the contrast between the limbs on the trees and the sky, the sky just needs to be a bit lighter.
All in all, it's a gorgeous photo, and has such great potential. Just try not to overdo the HDR.
I actually miss the original version, and am requesting it if possible
I'm referring to the one that looked like it had for different color "corners" filtering in including blue, green and red, and I think an almost orange.
Wow. I love this colors. What's the trick to create this amazing brightcolor-effect. Is it possible to make the same with an absolute ususal image using a special programm (for example. photoshop).
What a wonderful capture. A sunlit bridge; the colourful branches forming a natural archway.
I particularly like the darker shades of blue; like the departure of the tornado. This in combination with the brighter parts, because I think you have achieved exactly your aim set out in the artist's comments. To capture a scene from the Wizard of Oz.
