Remember that part of Wizard of Oz where the whole movie has been in black and white; then after the house if picked up by the tornado and taken into Oz Dorothy opens up the door and everything is bright and colorful. That scene always had a profound impact on me for some reason. Because I can't do it in a video; taking a photo to try and capture the same feeling is as close as I can get. Hope you enjoy!
CommentsHaha, amen to that Mike... I have a habit of desaturating most of my images; because I also like that darker look; but I like to try and get something mroe bright and colorful for a change every now and again.

Like, it showed me another world...a world that few can live in and even fewer can stay in. It is like the brightness and joy I got from it lifted my spirits in a way.

The sky just looks way too dark for the beautiful sunlight streaming in from the right. And while the colors are over saturated, they do have a gorgeous tone and glow. I personally would just lessen that glow just a tad.
The image itself is a gorgeous one. The trees are framing it beautifully. And I do love the contrast between the limbs on the trees and the sky, the sky just needs to be a bit lighter.
All in all, it's a gorgeous photo, and has such great potential. Just try not to overdo the HDR.
