Like I've said before I really strive to mix it up and take shots out of my usual style... and I know you guys appreciate people who take a chance with their art... so I have a goal to really explore different types of photography. I have fun with it, and hope you guys enjoy... once again my final goal is to become unpredictable in what I post... its just more fun that way!

Anyway, I really liked how this came out... the dead ends of this plant creating hooks coming out of the darkness... it brought many thoughts to my head. Taken with my Nikkor 50mm F1.8 lens.

I think that's a very good goal. I encourage you to explore and experiment! That's how you grow as an artist.

I like the combination of teal leaves and a dark background. The hooks make this look menacing, especially since the hooks are in focus.
