Artist's Comments

"In the small circle of pain within the skull You still shall tramp and tread one endless round Of thought, to justify your action to yourselves, Weaving a fiction which unravels as you weave, Pacing forever in the hell of make-believe Which never is belief: this is your fate on earth And we must think no further of you."

*I think this one is best if full viewed* :)

Used several stock from stock exchange ([link]), mixed with some of my own drawing.

This is somewhat different style wise than what I have done before, so please tell me what you think and be honest.

It really does create the scene: In the very depth thoughts of a person who probably is hiding from its problems, faking actions and justifying his errors instead of accepting them and trying to fix them. Beautiful inner meaning this has. It really is the birth of a conscience, because in the manipulation the face has a pretty surprised look, this makes me think that its like the very first time the person really listens to his conscience in a very long time.

The composition is really awesome. Everything comes from the branches of the tree, which also makes me think a little. Maybe what comes in the branches is like the result of the person's sins which have started in the roots of the tree, very deep in the drawing, and have grown until this point.

More about the manipulation: I really like the hues of blue you used in the background's gradient. In the lower parts the gradient gets darker, specially where the roots are, so it works like the deep grounds. The effects you used in the hand, did you use the cut out filter? Whatever it is, it makes it look like if it was made by vectors or something. I really like it. And the face looks like made in stone, or maybe iron?

In my opinion, this is one of the bests works you've posted here until now. I really fell in love with it :+favlove:

Thank you so so so much. This is one of the most in depth comments I have ever gotten. And I can't tell you how awesome it was to read your interpretation and thoughts about this... I love the way you read it. Awesome. Yes the hand was simply recolored and used the cut out filter... I was going to vector it, but it got really late and my computer was acting up, so I kind of took the easy way :). Thanks again so much, your kind words mean a great deal to me.

Ha ha ha... no... so are you saying that I'm a psycho! One thing I will admit to is listening to too much Pink Floyd. :)

Ya, this is probably one of the more abstract things I have done for sure.
