Artist's Comments

Tried to find an awesome quote to go along with this one... but came up short; haha. So you'll just have to pretend like there is something really profound to go along with this. :lmao:

Hope you guys enjoy this one, and everyone has a wonderful weekend!

Hmm, let's see. I will start with the obvious ones and eventually write about some details that make the stunning difference about this photo.

Allow me to comment on this piece from the factors that I think are the the most important for a photograph to the less ones.

Composition
First of all, the composition is quite good. Not very complex, with some of the rules applied to it and some others not. The road that leads the eye is a major factor that helps the watcher get comfortable with the subject. Also the trees that lean above the road add a feeling of balance to the image. This is very important because without the trees the vegetation on the right would surely keep the watcher busy observing it, instead of the main subject.
Drawback(s)
-I would prefer it if the road was not in the middle but, in this particular photo that is just minor.

Technique
Little is to be said about the technique you used to take the photo. Exposure is remarkable, depth of field is also very good.
Drawback(s)
-Some unsharp spots like the top right of the image, and the far end of the bushes on the right.
-I would prefer it if the sky was a bit more "of the same hue" through all its extend.Very bright spots like between the branches of the left tree could be easily burned (in PS)

Other comments and conclusion
What makes the picture even more wonderful is the post processing. I don't know if the atmosphere and the weather was really pale and "scary" but with some editing you pushed it to its limit. And I like that (Fortunately I'm not the only one).
Other noticeable factors that make the image unique are:
-Its true, natural colours
-The fact that it is not HDR and still looks spectacular
-Its title that surely completes this work of art

In conclusion I would say that "Under pale moonlight" is a great piece that really was worth its time and effort.Congratulations once again Shawn.

If in doubt, POKE IT!!!
*poke* :poke:

Did you know.. that when you smell, look at, or pick a flower, you're sniffing, staring at, and ripping off a plant's genitals???

Very surreal, and I love the detail.
